<div itemprop="description"><br>It is with deep sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Philip C. Turner age 74 at his home in Toronto on Wednesday May 18, 2016. Devoted father of Glenn (Marinel) and grandfather of Gritine. Cherished brother of Christine (Jeff). He will be lovingly remembered by Lynne, brother in law Paul and sister in law Judi (Les). He will be sadly missed by nephews Chris, Paul and Scott and nieces Leslie (Gary), Lee-Anne (Alan), Erin, Jennifer and many great nieces and nephews. Phil was predeceased by his parents Charles and Georgette Turner and his sister Lorraine Carey. <br> <br>Phil was born in Victoria BC and grew up in St. Boniface Manitoba. He moved to Toronto in the early 1960’s. He worked in the apparel industry and was President of Cluett, Peabody Canada Inc. (Arrow Shirts) in the 1990’s. Phil will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his marvelous sense of humor and his pride in his Metis heritage. <br> <br>A memorial service will be held at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, 905 257 8822, on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 11 am. A reception to follow. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Metis Federation Bereavement Fund, 150 Henry Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3B 0J7. <br> <br> <br></div>
