Paul McKay
December 12, 1940 - May 3, 2016
Beloved husband of Sandy for over 51 years. Devoted Dad of Michael Kelvin (Anita), Kathleen and Patrick (Nadia). Loving Grandpa of Danielle, Hannah and Riley. Brother of Judy McKay Roncetti (Michael) and Barbara Heath (late Stan). Brother-in-law of Mary Forrester (David), Debbie Salmon (late Rick), Jim (d. 1995), Peter and Dave (Yvette) Donaldson. Will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends. A special thanks to Doctor Bill Tucker.
Paul was involved in Church music since 1950 when he began his training at St. Michael’s Cathedral Choir School in Toronto. He studied piano, organ and vocal music. He received his A.R.C.T. (Organ) Diploma in 1961 and his Bachelor of Music degree from U of T in 1964.
Paul taught Band, Orchestra and Vocal Music for the Etobicoke Board of Education for 32 years, retiring in 1997.
He was also a professional musician and Band Officer at H.M.C.S. YORK, retiring after 25 years with the Rank of Lieutenant Commander in 1995.
He was an Organist/Choir Director in a number of Roman Catholic, Anglican and United Churches.
