<div itemprop="description">Alexander Nelson <br /> <br />Peacefully, at the Carpenter Hospice with his two daughters by his side on September 19, 2015 at the age of 75. <br />Beloved husband of the late Mary Nelson (who's birthday is the 19th), loving Dad to Laura and her husband Roger Hutter and Julie and her husband Bill McGuinness. Cherished Grandpa of Roger Jr., Rachel, Hannah and Samantha. Dear Brother-in-law to Susan Rennie, loving Uncle to Caroline and Mike Pattison (Natasha and Jake), Jamie and Kim Rennie (Owen). <br /> <br />He will be missed by his brothers Robert, John, David, pre-deceased by James and their families. Will also be missed by Mary's sister's and their families, all from 'bonnie' Scotland. <br /> <br />Alec was known by all for his joyful outlook on life, and his singing of classic Scottish songs and dancing to Frank Sinatra when he got together with family and friends. He was also a proud supporter of the Glasgow Rangers Football Club. <br /> <br />He will be missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A special thanks to all the staff and volunteers at the Carpenter Hospice and the VON Nurses for all their caring and support. <br /> <br />In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Carpenter Hospice would be appreciated. <br /> <br />Please take a moment to sign the guestbook and 'hit' the music player (top right hand corner) to hear one of his favourite songs. <br /> <br />To see Alec's eulogy, please look under the 'eulogy' tab.
