<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and best friend, Sandy, on February 4th, 2016 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. Sandy leaves Jim, the love of her life and husband of 52 years, son Jamie (Hongmei) Edgar and daughters Angie (Serge) Carrier and Rebecca (Lee Parker). She shaped the lives and spirits of her seven grandchildren, Katie, Stef, Josh, Daniel, Cassidy, Claudia and Ainsley. She loved her siblings, little sister Janis (Maynard) Millman, and baby brothers Steve (Cheryl) Kerr and Rob (Joanne) Kerr, her nieces and nephews and her many cousins who were both family and friends. Sandy lived a life enriched by the people around her, including many wonderful friends.Visitation will be held at noon on Wednesday February 10th at Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville), followed by a service at 1pm and a reception. In Sandy's spirit, love freely, laugh often and donate to a charity of your choice. <br /> <br />'A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world.
