Hrgovic, Olga Katarina (nee Pavlic) (nee Habljak)

On Monday, December 23, 2013 at the age of 84, Olga slipped away to join her beloved husband Marijan (2001) and her cherished son, Rudy (2005). She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren Nick and Julia (Matt) who were the centre of her world. She will also be sadly missed by Sue Habljak and many, many friends in Canada, Croatia and the U.S. Olga also leaves behind her brother Vid and his family in Croatia and was predeceased by her mother and father and dear sister Zlata. Olga was born in Zagreb, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1967 with Marijan and Rudy and $100. They settled with friends upon their arrival, but shortly thereafter managed to save for their own home in Willowdale where they created a life together, not only full of challenges, but also full of much love and laughter. Other than her grandchildren, perhaps Olga's greatest passion was entertaining in her home where she and Marijan hosted many, many parties- some of her happiest moments were breaking bread with all of their friends. Olga was renowned for her amazing cooking and hosting skills! For one last time friends and family will gather together to celebrate Olga's life on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville from 1- 2:30 p.m. followed by a Mass at Holy Trinity Croatian Church, 2110 Trafalgar Road, Oakville at 3 p.m.

Please take a moment to sign the guestbook or share a memory of Olga.
