
BOTTONI, Nazzareno (Nino)
Passed away on Sunday December 16, 2012 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 85, after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife Loreta of 62 years, cherished father of Marisa (late Eric Joseph), Robert (Mary), Rino (Felicetta), loving nonno of Lea (Tony), Danny (Michelle), Lora (Dave), Darryl and Anna Maria, loving nonno to his great grandchildren Matt, Nicholas, Ryan, Michael, beloved brother of Carlo (deceased), Gino (deceased), Lidia. In 1952 Nino immigrated to Canada from Torrice, Italy to build a better life for himself and his family. Together with his wife Loreta and two young children, every member of both their immediate families were sponsored, sheltered and provided with opportunities to succeed here in Canada . With tremendous discipline and work ethic Nino accomplished his goals, realized his dreams and continually guided his family. Nino’s words were simple and straight forward but his message was always profound. He loved big family gatherings, wonderful meals, good "pure" wine and his abundant vegetable garden. Thanks and sincere appreciation to Dr Zamora and staff, to his nurse Mandy and to the nurses on 4 East at OTMH for their care and compassion. Thank you to the Red Cross for all their services. Family and friends will be received at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel, 3164 Ninth Line Oakville on Tuesday December 18th from 7-9pm and on Wednesday December 19th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 20, 2012 at 10am at Mary Mother of God Church, 2745 Northridge Trail, Oakville. Entombment Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Red Cross and OTMH would be appreciated by the family.
