As his wife, friend and soul-mate, I find it very difficult to have to write to you today to let you know that Michael James Conway is no longer with us in body but will always be in our hearts.

On June 27, 2013, Mike passed away at Toronto General Hospital in Toronto at age 49. He was born on February 4, 1964 in Sudbury Ontario; son of Beverley and George Laur and Patrick Conway.

Mike was one of those people that everyone loved. He had a way that made you feel comfortable and welcomed. His home was always open to family and friends day and night. In the words of his children, Amber and Chantel, Mike was a courageous, selfless, hard -working man who was always there for his family. Family is what he valued most. No day went by without telling his wife and children that he loved them. Mike valued time with his family most. He had many “quirks” which provided many spontaneous screams of laughter. His nicknames for his beautiful girls were Cookie Girl and Pumpkin. He attended all the girl’s sport activities with great enthusiasm and cheered them on passionately at the sidelines. Mike had many enjoyments and activities: fishing, golf, pool, poker, video gaming, NASCAR racing and his all-time favourite enjoyment was, “FOOD”. He loved all kinds of music; his favourite band was Pink Floyd and artist was Sarah McLachlan.

Mike is survived by his wife Diane and two daughters, Chantel and Amber. Memorial service is held at 2:00 o’clock on July 5th, 2013 at Glen Oaks Chapel Memorial Gardens, 3164 Ninth Line (at Dundas), Oakville ON. Visitation held between 12:30 – 2:00pm. A reception to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at J J Q’s Billiard & Bar, 3055 Dundas Street West, Mississauga ON between 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in-trust to his two daughters Chantel and Amber through the TD Canada Trust, Account # 3138 6390132.
