<div itemprop="description">John R Lopes passed away surrounded by family and friends March 1st, 2016 at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington at the age of 73 after battling cancer. Beloved husband of 52 years to Adriana. Cherished father of David (Lucy) Lopes and Donna (Robert) Carter. Dear Vov&ocirc; to Anita (Steven) Yessie, Erica (Bradley) Ray, Rebecca (Geoffrey) Morgan and Christina Carter and great grandfather to baby Eleanor Yessie. Beloved son of Maria Rozarinha, John is predeceased by his father, Joseph and brothers Frank and Edward. Sadly missed by his brother Joseph (Lucy) Lopes, and sisters Annette (Ron) Makowski, Mary (Chuck) Paquet, Rosemary (Frank) Camasta, Rita (Orest) Sydji, Doreen (Warren) Pitton and Agnes (Michael) Winkler. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, particularly those who share St. Joseph's Parish in Oakville. <br /> <br />If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. <br /></div>
