<div itemprop="description">On Monday February 15, 2016, after a brief illness, Jim passed away peacefully at the age of 83 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Lyn) Lamb (nee Parent). Proud father of sons Brett (Theresa), Brad (Catriona) and Blair (Angela). Devoted grandfather of Tyler, Connor, Austin, Ryan, Lauren and Harlowe. Jim is also survived by brothers Glen and Robert as well as many nephews and nieces. In his late teens, Jim was trained as an RCAF pilot prior to joining Trans Canada Airlines. He was a pilot with TCA which became Air Canada for 40 years, retiring as a Captain on the 747. Upon his retirement, not one to sit still, he worked as a real estate agent at Brad J. Lamb Realty for the next 10 years. Jim was also an enthusiastic member of both The Oakville Golf Club and The CottonWood Country Club in Sun Lakes, Arizona where he and Lyn kept a winter residence. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially for his frankness and his colourful metaphors. A special thank you to the dedicated and caring staff of the ICU at OTMH. As per his wishes, cremation has already taken place. A memorial and celebration of life will be held Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 at Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery at 3164 Ninth Line in Oakville, L6H 7A8 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.</div>
