<div itemprop="description"><br />Passed away after a brief battle with Leukemia at the age of 67 at Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends.<br />Son of Peggy and the late Arthur Phillips (UK). Beloved husband for 48 years to Carole. Dedicated Father to Steve, Lynn (Mike) and Iain (Jenn). Oldest brother to David (Sherry) and Paul (Ros). Adoring &ldquo;GJ&rdquo; to his grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Tyler, Matthew and Logan. Uncle to Iona, Kevin, Jon and Alex. Brother in law to Ken (Lydia).<br />He was the Canadian SAAB Master Technician and a Service Manager for Budd&rsquo;s car dealership for over 25 years. A general handyman who went out of his way to help anyone in need.<br />&ldquo;GJ&rdquo; has touched all those who have met him through his kind acts of service. He was a gentle soul who had a compassionate spirit for family and friends alike. It is a true testimony to a life lived with real integrity and love. He&rsquo;ll be sorely missed by so many people in Canada and the UK.<br />Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville), A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at The Meeting House (2700 Bristol Circle, Oakville).<br />In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Baptist Ministries or Brethren in Christ Canada. It&rsquo;s requested that all who knew &ldquo;GJ&rdquo; perform an act of kindness in his memory.<br /></div>
