Georgina Donyina, a long-time resident of the Greater Toronto Area passed away while in cancer remission on Sunday, November 1, 2015. She was born on June 25, 1950. Her family includes her husband, Dr. Kwasi Donyina and three children Mr. Kwadwo Donyina, Ms. Afriyie Donyina and Dr. Adwoa "Addy" Donyina. Georgina and Kwasi Donyina met in Toronto, Canada and got married on November 28, 1972.
Georgina Donyina came from a family with strong Christian values. Her parents were Ernest Danso and Sophia Danso. She grew up in the Presbyterian Church and attended a private Christian high school (Aburi Girls Senior Highschool). She worked as a Pharmacist and Owner for 30 years at Shopper’s Drug Mart, Target Canada and Bloor Kipling Pharmacy; where she trained several pharmacists. Also, Georgina was an Assessor for Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada and a Preceptor for Ontario College of Pharmacists.
Georgina Donyina was a devoted wife and mother. May she rest in peace.
