It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the passing of Gabriella Villa after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 20, 2014 in Georgetown at the age of 49. Devoted mother of Nick, Adriana and Sabrina Mastromarco. Beloved daughter of Graziana and Eduardo Villa. Dear sister of Manuela Deangelis (Salvatore), Luigi Villa (Sherri) and Gianfranco Villa (Marta). Proud aunt to Alexa and Sara Deangelis, Emma, Lauren and Jacob Villa, Tiana and baby-on-the-way Villa, Anthony, Marco and Nicholas Taglieri. The name Gabriella means, God gives strength, and that is exactly what she has shown us all; the strength to persevere. She was the strongest, most beautiful woman, and will be greatly missed by her children, parents, siblings, family and abundant friends. Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (at Dundas St.) on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Merciful Redeemer Parish, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd. Mississauga on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Sick Kids Foundation.
