<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that the family of Danielle Owen announce her passing at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the age of 26 Cherished and beloved daughter of Chris and JoAnn and loving sister of Michael and David. Danielle will be sadly missed by her entire extended family, including nanny Marcella, aunts and uncles Barb/Geoff, Ken/Deanna, Judy/Bill, Barb/Paul. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and family in cities across southwestern Ontario, including Windsor, Mississauga, Newmarket, Niagara, Hamilton, and London. Danielle was a creative talent who appreciated the beauty in our world through an artist's lens. She had a broad love of the arts, included painting, music, movies, and yes - culinary cooking shows. More than anything though, she loved and cherished her family and friends. Those who knew and loved her will hold her in their hearts forever. Thanks go out to the dozens of doctors, nurses, and medical support staff who provided exceptional care and compassion during Danielle's courageous fight with cancer. A special thank you to Dr. Helen Pyle and Glenann Vincent, palliative specialists who were there by her side providing medical care and friendship every step of the way. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to a 'cancer related' charity of your choice in Danielle's name. The family's preferred charity is Ian Anderson House, a local 6-room cancer hospice providing palliative care to its residents and their families.</div>
