Cristina Connell
April 3, 1957 - March 22, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Cristina Connell (Kopec) on Tuesday, March 22nd at age 58. Daughter to Ruffina and Chester Kopec, she was born on April 3rd 1957 in Toronto, Ontario.
Cristina and her husband Brad were joined in marriage on April 26th,1986 and moved to Mississauga where they raised 3 beautiful children Jennifer, Lauren and Bradley. Cristina was an avid dog enthusiast. She trained dogs as a hobby and at PetSmart where she worked for many years-truly loving what she did. In her spare time she enjoyed playing with her Dobermans; Yogi, Bossi and Major, catching bigger fish than her husband and spending time with her children and grandson. She loved to socialize, be the centre of the party and make everyone laugh. Cristina also loved travelling to tropical destinations, soaking up the sun on the beach and snorkeling.
Cristina was predeceased by her parents Ruffina and Chester and is survived by her husband Brad, daughters Jennifer and Lauren, son Bradley, sisters Louisa and Joan and grandson Antonio. She touched many lives and will be forever missed by those that loved her.
Visitations will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery on Saturday March 26th from 6pm to 9pm and on Sunday March 27th from 11am to 2pm in Oakville. Funeral mass will take place on Monday March 28th at St. Ingatious Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Road, Mississauga at 11am. Burial and ceremony will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral home and followed by a reception celebrating Cristina’s life.
