<div itemprop="description">Consolacion Q. Quejas (&ldquo;Mama Ching&rdquo;), age 91, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2015. She was born May 2, 1924 in Illocos Norte, Philippines, the daughter of Carlos Quianzon and Alejandra Libed. She was the pillar of the Filipino-Canadian community for at least 30 years, and she was the founding member of the Kalayaan Cultural Community Centre (KCCC). <br /> <br />Predeceased by her loving husband Hospicio Quejas and daughter, Joyce (Ron) Quejas-Risdon. She is survived by daughters, Loliza (Jose) Salazar, Melanie (Felizardo) Suzara, Leilani (Archie) Purificacion, and Jojo Sebastian. She will forever be remembered by grandchildren Wendy (Kiyoshi), Paul, Monica (Simon), Sheila (Paolo), Robert (Jennifer), Jennifer (Doug), Anthony, Andrew, Caitlyn, Lana, Leigha, and great-grandchildren Mayumi, Kenji, Carmen, Theodore, Luca, Ava, Marina, Brianna, and Isla.</div>
