Adelaida "Dely" Fiel
February 18, 1938 - June 6, 2016
On Monday June 6th, 2016, she went home for the last time to reunite with her parents, Santiago Santiago Santos Sr. and Visitacion Serantes Santos. She was the 5th eldest of 13 kids. She was the eldest of the surviving siblings (Lilia, Teresita, Zenaida, Santiago Jr., Fe, Olivia & Myrna). She was a Business Administration Graduate from The Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines.
She married the love of her life, Atty. Carlos Delantar Fiel, who is 10 years her senior on May 21, 1966 where President Marcos (Senator at the time) was one of the Godparents witnessing their wedding. She is survived by her loving husband, and 3 children, Michael, Mary Jane (Matt Matias) and Catherine/Irene (Marvin Rivera) and her 2 stepdaughters, Carol (Rudy Quilon) and Carlota (Bert Antonio), 14 grandkids, 8 great-grandkids and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She lived a simple life after she suffered a life-changing aneurysm on Sept 29, 2013 where she had survived 5 major procedures after 11 months in Mississauga Hospital. Suddenly on Saturday June 4th, 2016, she experienced fatal abdominal pain, which led to 1 procedure at Mississauga Hospital where she never fully recovered. She fought a good fight and she gave us the signs that she wanted to rest peacefully on Monday June 6th at 5.37pm (EST)
She will forever be with us, all around us, in our dreams, and in the many memories we shared. Everyone loves you!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
